Component :

For the Lemon Cake:

  • 200 grams flour
  • zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup natural yogurt, about 125 grams
  • 110 grams butter
  • 160 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • Salt

For icing:

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 80 g icing sugar

Preparation :

Preparation of Lemon Cake:

First of all preheat your oven to 160°, put butter and flour in a cake tin, sift flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
Then beat butter with sugar in a bowl using a mixer on medium speed for 4 minutes to get a creamy mixture.
Add vanilla extract and eggs – 1 by 1 – beating then add lemon juice and zest and continue to beat on medium speed.
Add half of the flour mixture, mix with the marise then add the rest of the flour and mix to make a paste.
Then add curd and this time with the mixer on medium speed mix to make a uniform paste.
Pour your dough into the mold, spread it, and pop it in the oven to cook for 50 to 55 minutes.

Preparing the Lemon Glaze:

Put icing sugar in a bowl, add lemon juice and milk and mix with a spoon.
At the end of baking the cake, unmold, let cool then top with your icing and serve, bon appetit everyone.
