Homemade Fig Jam: Grandma’s Recipe
This often-overlooked fruit has a rich, sweet flavor that’s perfectly suited for jam-making, making it an ideal ingredient for all kinds of sweet and savory dishes. While figs are popular in many recipes, making jam is especially a great way to use them, as it captures their flavor and sweetness in a simple, easy-to-store format.
Component :
2 kg figs
1 kg sugar
1 vanilla pod
Preparing Homemade Fig Jam:
First of all wash the figs and cut them into pieces.
Then put them in a vessel, add sugar, stir and leave it like this for 15 minutes.
Then put on medium heat and bring to a boil.
Cut the vanilla pod in half, collect the seeds, and then pour the pod and seeds into the pot.
Then cook on medium-low heat for 30 to 40 minutes while stirring occasionally.
Mix then fill your jam jars, turn them upside down and leave to cool to room temperature.
