Broccoli Pasta is both nutritious and delicious, I’m always encouraging my friends to incorporate more vegetables into their meals, and broccoli is a great option. This cruciferous vegetable is packed with nutrients including vitamin C, vitamin K and fiber. It also contains compounds that have been shown to improve heart health.
Here is a recipe for pasta with broccoli, which is easy to cook.
250 g pasta (your choice)
1 head of broccoli
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
red chili flakes (optional)
grated cheese (optional)
Preparation of Broccoli Pasta Recipe:
Begin by preparing the broccoli. Cut the head of broccoli into small pieces and separate the florets from the stalks. You can also peel the stems and cut them into smaller pieces to use.
Boil a large pot of salted water. Add pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente.
Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and fry for about a minute until fragrant.
Add the broccoli stalk pieces to the skillet and cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Then add broccoli florets and cook for 3-5 minutes till they become soft-crisp. If you like a little heat, add salt, black pepper and red chili flakes.
When the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to the pan with the broccoli. Toss pasta well with olive oil and broccoli relish. If you want, you can sprinkle grated cheese on top.
Serve Broccoli Pasta hot and enjoy!
