Neapolitan Pizza

Neapolitan Pizza, a thin and crunchy pizza garnished with slices of fresh tomatoes. Pizza is a passion of Neapolitans.


1 pizza dough
10 anchovy fillets
1 tbsp capers
100 grams grated cheese
some black olives
For Tomato Sauce:
1 tin tomato flesh, about 400 grams
1 onion
1 clove of garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp ajwain
few basil leaves
2 to 3 lumps sugar
Red chilli



In a saucepan, heat the olive oil and then add the broad onions. Cook it on low flame till it becomes transparent. Then add the broad garlic at the end so that it becomes very light brown without burning. Then add tomato flesh and put on medium to high heat. Add carom seeds, basil, salt, black pepper, red chili and sugar to taste, let it cook for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to low, stirring with wooden spatula to reduce sauce. Book.
Preheat your oven to 200°.
Spread your pizza dough out on a baking sheet covered with baking paper, and garnish it with tomato sauce and slightly crimp the edges. Add cheese, then capers, anchovies and olives.
Keep the pizza in the oven for 20 minutes so that the pizza gets browned well.
