Shortbread biscuits with jam, a delicious cake to accompany your cup of coffee, here is an easy recipe for at home and for the whole family.


– 180 grams wheat flour
– 60 grams butter
– 75 grams of sugar
– 1 egg
– 1 vanilla pod
– 1/2 tsp baking powder
– 100 g strawberry jam
– 25 grams icing sugar


First, preheat your oven to 180°, line a baking sheet with parchment paper, cut vanilla pods lengthwise and remove the seeds.
Then in a bowl beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla seeds and add the butter in crumbs, whisking with a whisk.
Mix the flour with the baking powder then add them in batches in a bowl, whisking to make a paste.
Form a ball with your dough and lower it with a rolling pin onto a floured work surface.
Cut the cookies out with a round cookie cutter, collect the rest of the dough, form a ball, and then repeat the same operation.
Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter and press in half the cookies, then place them on a baking sheet.
Place your baking sheet in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
At the end of cooking, spread a layer of jam on the biscuits then top the biscuits with the heart motif and sprinkle icing sugar over them.
