Date Pudding with Caramel Sauce, a delight for your dessert or afternoon snack, here you will find the easiest recipe to make it at home.

Component:

For the date laddus:

– 280 grams dates
– 1 tsp instant coffee
– 40 cl water
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 75 grams unsalted butter
– 200 grams brown sugar
– 3 eggs
– 225 grams flour

For the Caramel Sauce:

– 150 grams of sugar
– 32 cl cream
– 120 grams unsalted butter

Preparation:

To prepare date pudding:

First, put dates, coffee and water in a saucepan and bring it to a boil.
Then remove the pan from the heat, add the yeast and let stand for at least 2 to 3 hours or overnight.
Preheat your oven to 180 degree Celsius.
Using your electric mixer, beat the butter with the brown sugar until frothy.

Add the beaten eggs on top, continue whisking and then add the flour.
Then add soft dates and mix to make a paste.
6 Grease the molds with a little butter, spread your dough inward and place them in a dish with edges.
Pour boiling water into the dish until it reaches 1 cm from the side of the mussels.
Place a small sheet of baking paper over the pudding and cover everything with aluminum foil, taking care to seal the edges.
Then put them in the oven to bake for 30 minutes, then remove the aluminum foil and let them cool for 4 to 6 minutes and then unwrap them.

Preparation of Caramel Sauce:

Add sugar and 12 cl of water to a medium saucepan and boil over high heat until sugar begins to turn golden in colour.
Then add cream and mix with whisk, remove from heat then add butter and melt while stirring with whisk.

Place your pudding on a plate, add a scoop of ice cream and sprinkle with your caramel sauce.
