Baked rice with ham and cheese, a delight for dinner tonight, you will love it, here you will find the easiest recipe to make it at home.

  • 200g Arborio Rice
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 25 grams breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1/4 tsp saffron threads, crushed
  • 75 cl of chicken broth
  • 50 grams grated Parmesan
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt
  • Chilly
  • 200 g finely chopped cooked ham
  • 180g fresh mozzarella, thinly sliced

First preheat your oven to 180°, grease the bottom of a springform pan — with 2 Tbsp — of butter and sprinkle it with breadcrumbs.
Then heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat and brown the minced onions, stirring with a spatula, for 4 minutes.
Then add saffron, rice and after adding broth, stir and boil for 2 more minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat, cover it, let the rice stand for 20 minutes, then remove the lid, let the rice cool, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.

Then add the Parmesan and the beaten eggs, add salt and pepper, and then mix everything together with the spatula.
Press half of your rice mixture into the mold to form an even layer, and then spread a layer of mozzarella and ham on top.
Then spread the remaining rice on top, pressing lightly with a spatula, and put in the oven to cook for 45 minutes.
Let cool for 10 minutes and then invert onto a serving plate.
Lastly, here’s to your cooked rice with ham and cheese, cut and served… good appetite everyone.
