Tarte Tatin with Caramelized Apples, a delight for your dessert or accompanying juice, here is the easy recipe at home.


– 1 Shortcrust pastry – see home recipe.
– 750 g apple
– 125 grams butter
– 250 g sugar
– 1 vanilla bean
– juice of 1/2 lemon


First melt the butter in pieces in a saucepan, while stirring, add the sugar in batches, leave on medium heat for 6 minutes.
Wash, peel and cut the apple into strips, then cut the vanilla pod into 2 lengths and collect the seeds with the tip of a knife.
Then add apples, vanilla seeds, lemon juice to the pan, stir and cook on medium heat for 15 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180°, butter a dish or tart mold, spread your dough into the mold, prick the bottom with a fork, and place in the oven for 6 minutes.
Then take out your mold, place the apples on the dough – use a fork – pour your little caramel from the bottom of the pan over the top.
Then bake your mold at 200° and put it back in the oven for 15 minutes.
