Apple Sponge Cake, a delicious super soft cake for your dessert or breakfast, here is the easy recipe at home.


For the Sponge Cake:

– 250 grams flour
– 150 grams of butter
– 100 grams of sugar
– juice of 1 lemon
– 1 egg
– 2 tsp baking powder

For Apple Filling:

– 700 grams of apples
– 80 grams of sugar


First preheat your oven to 180° and butter a cake mold.

Preparing Apples:

Peel and seed your apples, cut them into quarters, and then put them in a salad bowl.
Add 50 grams of sugar on top and mix and let stand.

Preparation of Sponge Cake:

First, in the bowl of your food processor, combine the flour, sugar, pieces of butter, lemon juice, egg and baking powder.
Knead everything until you get a Genoese-like dough.
Pour your dough into the mold then place the apple pieces on top, using your fingers or the back of a spoon to press down gently.
Sprinkle with 30 grams of the remaining sugar and put in the oven to cook for 50 to 60 minutes.
