Onion and Ham Tart, a wonderful Alsatian tart for your dish, here’s an easy recipe for at home and for the whole family.


– 1 Shortcrust Pastry – See Homemade Recipe
– 1 kg onion
– 100 g smoked hummus
– 24 cl fresh cream
– 1 tbsp butter
– 2 eggs
– Salt
– Chilly

Preparation :

First preheat your oven to 200°, butter a pie dish, peel and cut the onion into thin strips, cut the ham into cubes.
Then in a large skillet melt the butter and brown the onion on medium flame without stirring it.
Then add the ham and keep stirring just for 1 minute, let it cool for a while.
Roll out the shortcrust pastry and then spread it into the mold, whipping the eggs with the cream using a whisk in a bowl.
Add a pinch of salt and pepper and then add the onion and ham mixture and mix everything together with a spatula.
Pour your preparation on the dough and put to cook in the oven for 30 minutes.
Finally, here’s your pie with onions and ham, cut and served, to a good appetite for everyone.
