Viennese waffles

500 grams flour
225 grams butter
150 g) sugar
18 cl milk
2 eggs
25 grams fresh baker’s yeast
1 packet of vanilla sugar

Firstly, heat milk in a pan on medium heat.
Then crumble the yeast from above and then dissolve the yeast in milk.
In a bowl mix all purpose flour, vanilla sugar, a pinch of salt and eggs and pour the fermented milk on top.
Mix the flour well with a spoon and keep it for 30 to 40 minutes.
Then add the butter into small cubes, kneading with your hand to incorporate the butter into the dough.
Then add sugar and continue kneading, then shape into balls — between 10 and 14 — then let them rest for 15 minutes.
Preheat your waffle maker, then bake the waffles for 60-90 seconds.
Lastly, serve with your Viennese waffles, chocolate sauce and red fruits of your choice.
