Upside-down apple pie, a delicious cake for your dessert, here’s an easy recipe for at home and for the whole family.

For Garnish:
– 4 apples
– 90 grams unsalted butter
– 100 grams brown sugar
– 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
– 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
For the dough:
– 200 grams flour
– 115 grams unsalted butter
– 100 grams of sugar
– 100 grams brown sugar
– 2 eggs
– 1.5 tsp baking powder
– 1.5 tsp ground cinnamon
– 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 6 tbsp whole milk
Preparation:
First of all, start your oven by preheating it to 180°.
Filling Preparation:
Put the brown sugar in a saucepan, add the butter, mix and cook over medium heat for 1 minute, without stirring.
Once your mixture has thickened, remove the pan from the heat, add the vanilla extract and cinnamon, and mix.
Pour your mixture into the bottom of the pie dish, wash the apples thoroughly, cut them in half and place the bottom of the dish on top of the mixture, cut side down.
Then put your mold in the fridge.
Dough preparation:
First, in a bowl mix together all purpose flour, cinnamon, baking powder, nutmeg and salt.
Then in another bowl, beat the butter with a mixer on high speed for 1 minute.
Once your mixture is creamy, add sugar and brown sugar then continue whisking on high speed for 1 minute more always.
Then add the eggs, vanilla extract and continue whisking for another minute then pour the flour mixture over the top with the milk, whisking on medium speed.
Take your mold out of the fridge, pour the dough over the apples to cover it thoroughly, then put in the oven for 20 minutes.
Take your mold out of the oven, cover the mold with a sheet of aluminum foil, and put it back to bake for 20 minutes.
Leave to cool for 15 minutes at the end of cooking then invert your cake onto a serving plate and leave to cool.
