Tortilla Sandwich is a delight for your family lunch, here you will find the easiest recipe to make it at home.
Component :
For the Flour Tortilla:
- 250 grams flour
- 30 cl hot water
- 6 cl of oil
- 1.5 tsp salt
For Garnish:
- 1 tomato
- 1/2 apple
- 2 lettuce leaves
- 2 slices of smoked ham
- 75 grams corn
- 1 green onion
- 60 grams grated cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp crme fraiche
- 1/2 tsp mustard
- 1 tbsp grated Parmesan
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter
Preparation:
Preparing the Flour Tortilla:
First of all, mix all purpose flour and salt in a big vessel, add water and oil on top and mix well.
Then make a ball out of your dough, roll out the dough on the work surface and knead it about 10 times.
Divide your dough into 12 balls, then flatten by hand and knead the dough on both sides, place them on a baking sheet and cover with a towel.
Heat a large non-stick sauté pan over medium-high heat, then cook the tortilla for about 1 minute, then flip it over to cook for 30 seconds.
Once golden spots appear from both the sides, drain it on a towel and cook the remaining tortilla.
Filling Preparation:
First peel the tomatoes and apples, cut them into small cubes along with the ham, cut the lettuce into small slices and chop the green onions.
Combine tomatoes, apples, lettuce, corn, onions, smoked ham in a salad bowl and then set them aside.
Then whisk the mayonnaise, cream, mustard, Parmesan, garlic powder and black pepper in a bowl.
Pour the mayonnaise mixture into a bowl and mix everything together with a spatula.
Melt butter in a pan, then place the tortilla on the pan, pour grated cheese over your filling and fold it in half.
Press lightly then brown on both sides, about 2 minutes on each side.
Finally, here’s your tortilla sandwich, serve it up and everyone has a good appetite.
