Tarte Banoffee: The ideal dessert to impress your guests.

The world of sweets is a paradise of flavors and textures. Every country and culture has its own sweets, and every sweet lover has their favourites. Tarte Banoffee is one such dessert that stands out for its exquisite taste and heavenly sweetness. This gourmet dessert is a combination of two classic desserts: Banana Cream Pie and Caramel. It is a perfect summer dessert, creamy, sweet and full of banana flavor. Banoffee Pie is a British dessert that has gained immense popularity around the world.

Component :

For Cookie Base:

  • 200 grams biscuits
  • 50 grams butter

For the Caramel:

  • 20 cl of liquid cream
  • 80 grams butter
  • 160 g sugar
  • Salt

For Whipped Cream and Topping:

  • 32 cl of cold full cream
  • 60 g sugar
  • 3 bananas

Preparation :

Preparing the Cookie Base:

First of all melt the butter.
Then crush the cookies either in the bowl of your mixer or with a rolling pin and food bag.
Put the crushed biscuit in a salad bowl, and then mix with the melted butter to make a kind of shortbread dough.
Place your dough in a dish then pat it down with the back of a spoon and put your dish in the fridge.

Toffee preparation:

First of all, heat a vessel on medium flame for 3 minutes.
Then pour the sugar into the pan, leave it undisturbed, then when your sugar starts to colour, mix it with a wooden spoon.
Once your sugar is caramelized, add butter and mix with a pinch of salt.
Then, when the butter is melted, add the cream and mix constantly and vigorously until the mixture thickens.
Let your caramel cool to room temperature, then take your dish out of the fridge and spread a layer of caramel over the base of the biscuit.

Preparation of Cream:

First of all, whip the cream in a bowl with a mixer, add sugar over it.
Then peel the bananas and place them on top of the caramel layer.
Then spread a layer of your whipped cream on top and pop your dish in the fridge.
