Old Fashioned Fig Jam: A Delicious Delight

Fig jam has been a staple food in many households for years, and with good reason: It’s a delicious topping for toast, cookies, and even meatloaf. Making fig jam can seem daunting to some, but with our easy-to-follow recipe, you’ll be able to whip up a delicious, evergreen treat in no time.

Component :

1 kg fresh figs
450 grams cane sugar
juice of 1 lemon

Preparation of Old Fashioned Fig Jam:

First of all, wash and peel the figs and cut them into four pieces.
Then put them in a basin, add sugar and lemon juice.
Bring all the things to a boil and then cook on medium heat for 30 minutes.
Place a plate in the fridge, then pour a few drops of your preparation onto the plate at the end of cooking.
If the droplets solidify, stop cooking, otherwise extend cooking for a few more minutes.
Put all the ingredients in the bowl of your mixer and blend either a thick jam or a little liquid according to your preference.
Pour your jam into sterilized jars, close and turn them upside down, let cool to room temperature.
