Semolina pudding: classic and traditional recipe
Sooji Halwa is a rich, creamy dessert that is popular in many parts of the world.
It is a popular dish that is widely loved in India, Pakistan and other South Asian countries, as well as in the Middle East and North Africa.
Here is an easy recipe to prepare this sooji halwa at home.
225 grams fine semolina
150 grams almond powder
125 grams powdered sweetener
24 cl of skimmed milk
25 cl water
100 grams butter
1 vanilla pod
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
First melt the butter in a sauce pan.
Then put fine semolina on top and stir it with a spoon while stirring continuously for 6 minutes on low flame.
After the semolina turns golden, remove the pan from the flame and keep it aside.
In a saucepan, combine the water, milk, powdered sweetener, vanilla pod with its seeds, cloves, and bring to a boil.
Then pour the semolina mixture with almond powder on top, stirring continuously on low flame till it becomes thick.
Remove cloves and vanilla bean with a spoon.
Film the inside of the bowl, pour into your preparation, pack well with the back of the spoon, we film the bowl thoroughly to unmold it well afterwards.
Refrigerate the cups for 6 to 8 hours, then take them out on a plate, sprinkle cinnamon, raisins and serve garnished with nuts.
